“Back on Track” was the motto for the last weekend’s Youth Track Development Series #3 (YTDS) and the Ontario Cup Track Series #3 at Mattamy National Cycling Centre. With more than 130 Athletes competing on Saturday and Sunday, the riders had the chance to compete for the first time in 2022. “Especially, after the YTDS and the OCUP in January were cancelled, it was great to see the riders back on the track,” states Chantal Thompson, OCA Event and Program Coordinator, after the Event.
YTDS on Saturday
The Youth Track Development Series on Saturday was a successful event. Starting at 12:30 pm, the young riders could get on the track and line up in scratch, keirin, points and longest lap races. “It was wonderful to see the excitement of the athletes back on the track and competing once again. We are looking forward to more exciting events to come”, summarized Pamela Julian, OC-President & CEO. The OC does not publish any results to develop a competitive framework without pressure to succeed. Therefore, just the lap results are available on the event website.

The Cat A Men Point Race saw Micheal Foley of Toronto Hustle finish in the first place, posting total points of 40.
