Discipline & Complaint Process
Ontario Cycling & Cycling Canada are committed to a sport environment free from abuse that is safe for all participants. Ontario Cycling & Cycling Canada have zero tolerance for any type of abuse. Individuals are required to report abuse or suspected abuse to Ontario Cycling or Cycling Canada so that those matters can be addressed in an expeditious and professional manner.
Ontario Cycling has engaged Sport Dispute Management, led by Jahmiah Ferdinand-Hodkin, to provide participants with expert unbiased third-party complaint administration. All maltreatment complaints can be securely and confidentially submitted to Sport Dispute Management through an Online Submission Form linked directly to Sport Dispute Management. Jahmiah, or one of her colleagues, will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your complaint to confirm receipt, explain the process forward and answer any questions you may have.
Sport Dispute Management’s role in the complaint process is neutral. Meaning, they do not represent any party to a complaint, nor do they represent Ontario Cycling. Sport Dispute Management will not provide any party with legal advice but will carefully explain the complaint process to all involved and ensure that the process moves forward in accordance with the requirements of the applicable policies.
For more information about complaint processes generally, you can consult Sport Dispute Management’s website or for information about Ontario Cycling’s complaint process, please review Ontario Cycling’s Discipline and Complaints Policy.
