Applications are now open for BMX Performance Program – Targeted ages 15-U23

The goal of this program is to help prepare and develop athletes for success at national level competition with the objective of progressing into National projects and programs. Training sessions and projects are led and supported by expert coaches and sport science practitioners in the fields of nutrition, strength and conditioning, and mental performance. Club and athlete personal coaches may also be invited to attend these sessions.

Athlete Selection Criteria:

1) Top 5 result at 2023 Canadian BMX Championships*

2) Top 3 result at 2023 Canada Cup*

3) 2024 OHPSI Program Athletes

4) Ontario Cycling and Cycling Canada Recommendation

  • With consideration towards performance results at Nationals/Canada Cups and other high level competitions

*Number of riders and depth at competition will be taken into consideration

Additional Program Details and Requirements

  • Commitment to Full-time training alongside a detailed YTP (yearly training plan)
  • Dedicated and NCCP Certified Coach
  • Maximum 15 athletes
  • Consideration towards Gender Equity

Program Fee:

$700 Total

This program fee includes:

Coaching and sport science support at training and competitions, pre-race training sessions at the Rockhill Project and Canadian Championships.

Please note – the BMX Rising Stars Program for athlete ages 12 to 14 is a different program application and will be announced separately.
