Basic Cycling Skills provides an opportunity for “on-bike” practice in skill teaching and analysis, coaching, and provided lesson plans. The program is simple, based on several pre-designed lesson plans, and adaptable to participants’ varying skill and ability levels. The program’s focus is on having participants develop skills that are basic to MTB, BMX, and Road, in a controlled, off-road, off-trail setting such as a sports field or parking lot.
The Basic Cycling Skills course is cross-listed with the Intro to Competition & Community Initiation NCCP coaching stream.

Ontario Cycling will be hosting a para-cycling camp to help athletes develop time trial and road race skills. The camp will support athletes wanting to develop basic riding skills and those that are preparing for higher level competition including specific training for national championships. Athletes from all para-cycling classifications are welcome and more details on camp schedule will be established based on the registrants.

Ontario Cycling will be hosting a Rising Stars MTB Camp May 11-12 at Harwood Ski & Bike. The camp is focused on developing athletes (ages 13 – 16) who are racing at OCup level with aspirations to race at the Canada Cup and national level events within the next 1-2 years. Skills will include:
