10 years with the Barrie Cycling Club
In what capacities do you volunteer?
President of the Barrie Cycling Club for the past 8 years, ride leader for 10 years, adopt a road clean up for 3 years.
What inspired you to start volunteering?
I’ve volunteered since I was a teenager as its a great way to help others in the community and gain different experiences.
What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
We wouldn’t have a bike club with out volunteers. I enjoy meeting different people and providing a fun service.
What has been your favourite memory from volunteering?
Seeing people happy riding bikes together
What advice do you give to new volunteers or individuals looking to get into volunteering?
Just do it. It’s a great way to give back.
