Parent Presentation: Supporting Your Youth Athletes in Training

This is the mindset to adopt when determining how to best support your young athlete. 
 
Join us for our Virtual Presentation which is specifically designed for parents/guardians who have children that are interested/involved in high-performance cycling.  We will be discussing practical ways to not only support your young athlete, but more importantly, to start teaching them how to support themselves and gain independence.
 
Topics will include:
 
  • Building healthy habits and behaviours (hydration, rest, recovery) 
  • Meal preparation and food management
  • Whole foods vs supplements
  • Focusing on development while accounting for chronological age and physical maturation
  • Life skills
