Ontario Cycling is happy to announce that Advanced Track Skills (for U17/U19s) and Rising Stars (for U15s and new U17s) clinics are open for registration for the 2026-2027 season.
Rising Stars
A Rising Stars Track Talent Identification Camp will be held on Saturday November 7. The camp will be focused on developing athletes primarily in the U15 category but will be open to newer athletes in the U17 category (i.e. those not attending the Advanced Skills Clinics). The camp will serve as an opportunity to both introduce athletes to the type of training conducted at the Ontario Track Academy and assess athletes for invitation to attend the upcoming 3-part Rising Stars Camp Series.

Rising Stars Camp Dates (Invite Only – Must attend and be selected at Rising Stars ID Camp)
- December 12 (Standing Start/Sprint)
- January 9 (Team Pursuit)
- February 27 (Omnium)
The themes of the camps are based on the corresponding OCup/Provincials in order to provide athletes with additional opportunities to learn the appropriate skills/strategies required to put forth their best effort at races.
*Each camp will include a sport science education workshop and/or video session. The cost per camp will be $60.
Athlete Requirements*
- Aged 13-17 in 2027 (exception considered on a case by case basis)
- OC Membership (UCI/Compete/Challenge)
- Milton Track Certified
- Previous race experience at OC Youth Track Development Series, Provincial Championships, or NCIM Race Nights
- Committed to racing 2026-2027 OCups & Provincial Championships

Advanced Track Skills
Ontario Cycling is once again hosting a series of one-day Advanced Track Skills clinics for youth cyclists targeting performances at Junior/U17 Canadian Track Championships. Advanced Track Skills Clinic topics include Sprint, Omnium, Madison, Team Pursuit, and Standing Starts. All camps will be led by Provincial Track Coach, David Jack, and other guest coaches and include off-bike workshop components.

Oct 24 – Advanced Track Skills (U17/U19) – SPRINT – REGISTRATION OPEN
Oct 31 – Advanced Track Skills (U17/U19) – TEAM PURSUIT – REGISTRATION OPEN
Nov 21 – Advanced Track Skills (U17/U19) – OMNIUM – REGISTRATION OPEN
Dec 19 – Advanced Track Skills (U17/U19) – MADISON – REGISTRATION OPEN
Jan 30 – Advanced Track Skills (U17/U19) – STANDING START – REGISTRATION OPEN SOON
In addition to the track time, each session will include one hour of off-track programming (i.e. nutrition, strength & conditioning, video review, etc.). The cost per camp will be $60.
The tentative schedule is 11am – 3pm. The exact schedule will be shared 3-5 days before the event via e-mail.
NOTE: Registration for each clinic closes the 3 days before the start date (Wednesday the week of at 11:59pm).
Athlete Requirements*
Athletes must be age-eligible to compete at the 2027 Junior/U19 Track Championships and have previous race experience at National Championships or Provincial Championships in the U17/U19 categories.
