Amy has stepped up time again to give back to the cycling community.   Amy has been a key member of the coaching team for Attack Racing and has been instrumental in developing the youth programming both on the road and the track.

She is a partner in a cycling clothing company, Lastig, which specializes in off-road gear.  When she isn’t cycling, she is a CA sole practioner who specializes in owner operated corporations.

How long have you been cycling?

I have been cycling for most of my life but started racing in 2013 and coaching in 2019.

What drew you to coaching?

I love to help people and am passionate about cycling as a life-long sport/activity. I started to volunteer with the London Centennial Wheelers (LCW) and eventually became a coach with the London area-based team Attack Racing.

What’s your favorite part about coaching?

The kids. Seeing a youth accomplish a skill for the first time. The relationships with other coaches and parents. The group has really become a second family to me. That is more than one!

What advice would you give to other women about getting into coaching?

It is exhausting but it is so incredibly fulfilling. The youth are at a very important stage of their lives, every tiny positive input we have on them can influence their future, their self-esteem.

What’s your dream bike?

I just got it!! Cervelo Aspero with GRX di2 in Satin Black
