MTB Rising Stars Camp #1

Ontario Cycling will be hosting a Rising Stars MTB Camp May 11-12 at Harwood Ski & Bike. The camp is focused on developing athletes (ages 13 – 16) who are racing at OCup level with aspirations to race at the Canada Cup and national level events within the next 1-2 years. Skills will include:

Coaching – Basic Cycling Skills – Peterborough, ON

Basic Cycling Skills provides an opportunity for “on-bike” practice in skill teaching and analysis, coaching, and provided lesson plans. The program is simple, based on several pre-designed lesson plans, and adaptable to participants' varying skill and ability levels. The program's focus is on having participants develop skills that are basic to MTB, BMX, and Road, in a controlled, off-road, off-trail setting such as a sports field or parking lot.

The Basic Cycling Skills course is cross-listed with the Intro to Competition & Community Initiation NCCP coaching stream.

Coaching – HopOn Instructor Orientation – Peterborough, ON

Once registered for the HopOn Orientation, you will receive an auto-confirmation email outlining instructions to access the official HopOn eLearning tool on Cycling Canada's Learning Management System. Completion of this eLearning course in preparation for the HopOn Orientation is required.
