Eve Buczkowski is a Junior Track World Champion
Ontario athletes Alex Fangeat, Eve Buczkowski, Jaxson Van Den Bosch, Matthew Payne, Sheldon Drewitt, and Addison Vivaldi represented Canada in Limburg, Belgium this past weekend. While there were many great performances the highlight for Canada came on Saturday when Eve Buczkowski captured the Women’s Points Race gold becoming the 2026 Junior Women’s Point Race World Champion.
Eve was also part of a successful Women’s Team Pursuit featuring fellow Ontario teammate Alex Fangeat, who placed 9thin the Individual Pursuit. The team qualified with the 2nd fastest time but just missed the podium with a 4th place finish. Sheldon Drewitt fought his way to two top 10 finishes with a 7th in Men’s Sprint and 8th in Keirin. Other performances included Addison Vivaldi with a 15th in Sprint and 13th in Keirin, and Jaxon Van Den Bosch & Matthew Payne with a 14th in the Men’s Team Pursuit.
