Ontario Cycling is thrilled to launch the nomination process for the 2026 OC Volunteer of the Year Award.
This award recognizes an individual who has freely contributed their time, talents, and energy to elevating the sport of cycling within the province of Ontario. Whether they are a Ride Leader, Board Member, Event or Club Volunteer, or have contributed in other ways, volunteers play a vital role in the cycling landscape, and in the enjoyment people have on their bike in the province.
The award is presented to an individual who exemplifies passion, respect, dedication and commitment to the cycling community at large in any capacity over the past season.
Now’s your chance to shine a spotlight on those in your community who inspire you and have had an exceptional impact on your cycling season.
Nomination Process
Supporting information for the nomination of this award should be based upon any contributions made between October 1st, 2025 and September 30, 2026. Nominators are asked to provide sufficient background and supporting information for the individual they are nominating.
A reminder that the Selection Committee reviews all supporting information provided, as they may not know the individual. Nominations lacking in supporting information may have a more difficult time of being considered properly, so it is important when wanting to recognize an individual to provide as much supporting information as possible.
- —Nominator must be a current 2026 OC Member in good standing
- —Must have clearly met the criteria listed in the Overview
- —Nominee does not have to be an OC member
- —Nominee's contributions and accomplishments must have been towards OC sanctioned programming, events or initiatives. (including club and team lead activities/programs)
