Ontario Cycling is pleased to announce the 2024 preliminary calendar for the disciplines of Road, Gravel, and Mountain Bike. Please continue to check our calendar for updates as we will be adding more events as they are sanctioned throughout the season. Races will be taking place in some of Ontario’s most stunning landscapes and terrains, and this year’s race season promises to be full of new challenges and excitement. With options ranging from charity rides to our entire Ontario Cup race series and plenty of regional events, there is something for everyone – from beginner cyclists to experienced riders. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to challenge yourself at a local OC Sanctioned Event.
OUR PRELIMINARY Road Calendar Includes Road Races, Time trials, Criteriums, Charity Rides, and Cycle Tours
For the 2024 OCup Road Series, Ontario Cycling is pleased to announce its partnership is renewed with Greg Rawson of Performance Driven Events, with four OCups & three Provincial Championships (Time Trial, Crit, and Road). The Ontario Cup (OCup) series will kick it into high gear during the summer starting with the first Road OCup in April. Returning to similar locations as 2023, at Henderson, Lansdowne, Harrisburg, and North Bay. New this year for our Provincial Road Championships will be run over 2 separate weekends – our ITT Provincials in July, with the Crit and Road Provincials in August.
“I am pleased to be partnering with Ontario Cycling again for the 2024 competitive road cycling season and am looking forward to expanding the series, adding a new event and location for the upcoming season.” said Rawson “We are excited to announce that the 2024 Provincial Championship events will be taking place in the Niagara region, including the return of an iconic road race loop as well as a new Crit and ITT location.”
Returning to our road calendar, are Clarence Rockland Classic (May 5), Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour (June 8), Preston Street Criterium (June 16), Thousand Islands Gran Fondo (September 8), and 7 Days – Pancreatic Cancer (May 27-June 2).

MTB OCups/Provincials to feature short track & team relay
This year’s mountain bike (MTB) calendar will see the return of classic events, with more being added over the coming weeks. Whether you are a fan of watching or competing yourself, it appears 2024 will be an exciting year for MTB riders in the province! The 2024 Ontario Cup MTB Series, will see local clubs and organizers hosting the events, with four OCups confirmed in the series (Woodnewton, Hardwood Ski & Bike, Mansfield Outdoor Centre, and Highlands Nordic). Ontario Cycling will be hosting the Mountain Bike Provincial Championships on the weekend of August 9-11 at a location to be confirmed in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
“We are pleased to be hosting two of our Ontario Cup events – one at Mansfield Outdoor Centre and the other at Highlands Nordic.” said Erik Lehmann on behalf of the Collingwood Collective Race Team “These events will feature an entire weekend of fun racing with short track for all ages on Saturday, Fri/Sat overnight camping, a vendor market, draw prizes, reduced entry fees and unique XCO courses with new technical features!”
Returning to the calendar in 2024 is the suite of Hardwood events including the Single-Track Classic Marathon (April 27), Wednesday Night Race Series p/b Trek (May 8 – August 28), Women’s 4 Hour Relay (June 8), Summer Epic 8 Hour (July 27), and Fall Epic 8 Hour (September 21). And be sure not to forget the Tour of Kincardine, once again taking place on the trails and paths that weave throughout the Town on the Huron ( May 26).
