Investing in the Future of Cycling: Our New Sponsorship & Partnership Program

We’ve launched a flexible, mutual-value partnership program to build sustainable revenue for our sport and as a member, you’re one of the most powerful ways we can grow it.

Ontario Cycling has launched a new sponsorship and partnership program designed to give partners a flexible, transparent, and genuinely collaborative way to invest in the growth of cycling across the province. It reflects a deliberate shift in how we approach commercial partnerships — away from one-off logo placement and toward long-term relationships built on shared value, measurable outcomes, and mutual benefit.

At the heart of the program is a simple principle: a partnership should deliver as much value to the sponsor as it does to Ontario Cycling. Rather than a fixed menu of packages, each partnership is shaped around a partner’s objectives, sector, and audience.

Why Now: Diversifying Revenue for the Sport and Its Athletes

As a not-for-profit Provincial Sport Organization, Ontario Cycling needs diversified, sustainable revenue streams, for the long-term health of the sport and the athletes who depend on it. Investment from partners directly supports athlete development, youth and grassroots programming, para-cycling pathways, and the systems that keep the sport running across Ontario.

Every dollar invested in Ontario Cycling is an investment in the future of cycling in the province – in the next generation of athletes, the clubs and volunteers at the heart of the sport, and the communities that ride.

A Different Kind of Investment

Cycling occupies a unique position that no other sport can claim. It is, at once:

  • A competitive sport with provincial championships, development pathways, and high-performance athletes;
  • A lifelong recreational activity people enjoy for decades
  • A mode of active transportation central to urban infrastructure, climate solutions, and public health.

This means an investment in Ontario Cycling is more than a sponsorship of sport. It is an investment in healthier communities, sustainable transportation, and population-level wellbeing, a value proposition that resonates well beyond the finish line, and one few sports can offer.

Flexibility, by Design

The program is intentionally modular. Partnerships can align with a sponsor’s priorities across a range of areas, including:

  • Event and program partnerships, from provincial championships to youth and development initiatives;
  • Technology and innovation collaborations that modernize how the sport is delivered;
  • Health, wellness, and corporate engagement;
  • Environmental and sustainability initiatives tied to cycling’s role in active transportation
  • Digital storytelling, content, and value-in-kind support.

Each partnership is scoped collaboratively, with clearly defined deliverables, accountability, and reporting, so partners know exactly what they are receiving and the impact they are creating. We keep our partner roster deliberately small, so each one is meaningful, with category exclusivity available.

Our Reach

Partners connect with a passionate, engaged, year-round community across Ontario, including more than 7,000 newsletter subscribers, a growing social audience generating up to 700,000 monthly digital impressions, dozens of sanctioned events annually, and a province-wide network of clubs and registered athletes.

“Cycling is unlike any other sport, its competition, it’s recreation for life, and it’s a real answer to the challenges our communities face around health, climate, and mobility. When a partner invests in us, they’re investing in the future of cycling in Ontario, and we want that relationship to deliver genuine, measurable value on both sides.”   Pam Julian, President & CEO, Ontario Cycling

Where You Come In

The best partnerships rarely begin with a cold email; they begin with someone who believes in the sport making an introduction. That’s you. There are two simple ways you can help:

  • Open a door at work. If your employer invests in community outreach, health and wellness, sustainability, or youth development or is simply looking for a meaningful way to give back – a warm introduction from you is worth more than any pitch we could send.
  • Invest yourself. If you’re able to support the sport personally, we’d genuinely welcome that conversation too. Personal partnerships can be scaled and shaped to fit, there’s no minimum to caring about the future of cycling.

Whatever the size, a partnership with Ontario Cycling is an investment in the next generation of athletes, the clubs and volunteers at the heart of the sport, and the future of cycling in this province, your sport, your community.
