The Voyageur 200
The Voyageur 200 is a volunteer-run gravel cycling event on some of our favourite backroads and trails in the Nipissing District. This year’s event takes place the weekend of August 14-16, with distances of 30, 60, 100, and 200 km, attracting local riders and cyclists from across the province.
More than a ride, The Voyageur 200 is an opportunity for businesses and communities to come together in support of shared priorities – healthy, active living and access to quality local healthcare. Proceeds from the Voyageur 200 support the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, while also contributing to Discovery Routes and the volunteer-led trail networks that make events like this possible. To date, The Voyageur 200 has raised over $17,000
The Voyageur 200 was inspired by a deeply personal journey. Event organizer Jeff Miller experienced a stroke and heart attack as a young man, and credits cycling as a powerful part of his recovery. Riding became a way to rebuild strength, improve heart health, and reconnect with community. The Voyageur 200 helps ensure others in our region have access to the same quality care and rehabilitation services that make recovery possible.
