Foundations of Nutrition for Cyclists with Alida Iacobellis RD MHSc

Learn about the differences between nutrition for general health versus sport nutrition and the top 3 nutrition habits that will help you build a strong foundation for success as a cyclist. We will talk about the importance of eating enough to support both your health and your training, and how to manage energy levels and ensure timely pre- and post-training fuelling. Finally, we will cover how to adjust the proportion of different foods on your plate based on changes in the volume and intensity of your training through the year.

About Alida

Alida Lacobellis is a registered dietitian and sport nutritionist in Milton. In addition to her work with athletes through the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, she runs a virtual private practice where she supports people with disordered eating, intuitive eating, and weight-neutral nutrition interventions, as well as running in-person meal prep cooking classes. When she’s not helping people learn how to nourish themselves and feel good about food, she loves line dancing, nature walks, and stand-up paddle boarding.
