Tell us about your club.
Our road cycling club is headquartered in Delhi, Ontario and serves members from Norfolk and adjacent counties. We have scheduled rides for all levels of cyclists, seven days a week, as well as a number of special ride events throughout the summer. We also offer a “Learn to Group Ride” program for new road cyclists every spring.
Why should someone join your club?
Riding with the Silver Spokes Cycling Club is a great way to improve your skills, fitness and mental well being, while socializing with fellow cycling enthusiasts in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. Members can enjoy all that scenic Norfolk County has to offer – miles of quiet, shady paved roads, colourful farmers fields, and the beautiful shores of Lake Erie.
What advice would you give to a cyclist looking to join a club?
Find a club which suits your particular riding interests: road cycling, mountain biking, gravel riding, or even a combination. If you’re new to road cycling, or group riding, look for a club that offers instructional programs and recreational level rides to help you develop your skills and confidence. Many clubs offer try-out opportunities where you can meet members and find out more about the general club “atmosphere” before joining.
Describe your club in 5 words or less.
