Connor Byway and Sarah Mason Win Silver Medals at U19 Road Nationals

Congratulations to London’s Sarah Mason who captured Silver in the U19 Women’s ITT at Canadian Road Nationals today in Beauce. With a speedy time of 20.41.

Ontario had a strong day with 3 riders finishing in the Top 10. Katherine Maine finished just off the podium in 4th and MP Nadon was 6th.

This is the first time since the early 1990’s that 3 Ontario Junior Females have been in the top 10 in the ITT. Well done ladies.

In the U19 Men it was Ottawa’s Connor Byway that took the Silver. Ottawa’s Derek Gee was only 5 seconds off the podium in 4th and Barrie’s Adam Jamieson took home the 5th place. In his first true ITT it was 2nd year cadet Quinton Disera that impressed with a solid 10th place finish.

Connor had a great ride as he prepares for Track Worlds later this summer. Well done to the U19 athletes as there was 7 Ontario Juniors in the top 10 in the ITT. A fantastic start to the week.
