Ontario Cycling Association Launches Strategic Plan Consultations

The Ontario Cycling Association is launching consultations with members, stakeholders and partner organizations as it develops its strategic plan for 2021-2025. There has never been a more important time to set the vision for the future of cycling in Ontario than right now, as society moves out of the COVID pandemic.

Over the past two seasons we’ve seen races, rides and other events cancelled as we’ve all been asked to stay home and limit physical contact. The pandemic has obviously brought challenges, but it has also brought some opportunities as large numbers of people rediscover their love of cycling. As we hopefully move towards group riding and racing again this fall, the OCA will take some time over the summer to engage its members in setting the vision for the future.

The OCA will be providing a wide variety of opportunities for members, stakeholders and partners to shape the strategic plan including:

  • Online surveys – available here (submission due by June 25th 2021)
  • Focus groups – taking place over the summer
  • Online town hall – taking place in August

The development of the strategic plan will take place over the summer and the plan will be released this fall in advance of the 2021 annual general meeting. For more information, including a detailed timeline, please visit the strategic plan page of the OCA website.
