The Board of Directors of the Ontario Cycling Association [OCA] would like to announce the appointment of Pam Julian as the new President & CEO of the Ontario Cycling Association.
Pam’s most recent position was as Executive Director of Ringette Ontario. She brings an extensive background in leadership, project management, event management, strategic planning as well as a focus on Safe Sport initiatives and Inclusion & Diversity. Pam has been involved in the sport sector for over ten years and in addition to having extensive event management experience through her time with Dive Ontario, has also been a member of several sport panels and committees including Discipline & Complaints for Ontario Football, Artistic Ontario, Swim Ontario; Co-Convenor Safe Sport Ontario Task Force and Ringette Canada Committees: Safe Sport, Alignment and Trans-Inclusion.
“I am honoured to have been named as President & CEO of the Ontario Cycling Association” said Pam. “I am looking forward to getting to work with the OCA Team and working on new and innovative ways to elevate and grow the organization through the implementation of the new strategic plan.”
Grahame Rivers, Chair of the Board of the Directors for the OCA states “The new OCA Strategic Plan will lay a foundation for increasing the number of people taking part in events and races through inclusion and increasing diversity in the sport. Pamela’s experience and leadership will be invaluable in meeting these goals. I would like to welcome her on behalf of the members of the OCA and look forward to working together. ”
Pam will start in the new role December 1, 2021, and will be working out of the OCA office located inside the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton. Interim CEO Michael Suraci will be returning to the role as High Performance and Operation Manager.
OCA is the provincial governing body for the sport of cycling in Ontario representing the sports Road, Track, Mountain Bike, Downhill, Cyclo-Cross, BMX and Para-cycling. We develop, promote and deliver quality programs and events for recreational riders through to competitive racers.
