OCA-Cycling Canada Training Group & OCA-NCIM Blue Group Programs Announced

Ontario High Performance Training Group* [Cycling Canada – Ontario Cycling Partnership]

Overview: Multi-discipline program offering a flexible training schedule to accommodate athlete work/school commitments and geographic locations. Provides sport science support [strength and conditioning, nutrition], on-track training opportunities, group road/MTB rides, other testing and workshop services, and access to winter training camp opportunities.

Athlete Profile: U23/Senior athletes tracking towards national team programming

September 25/26 have been identified as assessment days (on and off track assessments).  Requirements for athlete participation and the specific assessments will be determined based on the applicant.

OCA – NCIM Blue Group Track Program [National Cycling Institute Milton – Ontario Cycling Partnership]

Overview: Weekly on-track training program for identified athletes with focus on World Junior selection or progression into Cycling Canada programming.  Program will also include sport science service support [strength and conditioning, nutrition] using both in-person workshops and athlete self-lead training.

Athlete Profile: U19 athletes with demonstrated ability and focus of progressing to World Junior Championships. U17/U23 athletes will be considered based on demonstrated abilities and performances.
