SUMMARY:Mountain Bike - Coulson's Hill Weekly MTB Series - Bradford
DESCRIPTION:This local series has run non-stop since the early 90s – making it one of the longest running cross country mountain bike events in the country. With a focus on fun\, family\, and progression of skills and fitness\, we have turned rookies into passionate cyclists and veterans into champions. Our forest is the “home track” for Canadian National Champion Andrew Watson\, Olympian and Hour Record holder Ed Veal\, and X-Games World Champion Brett Rheeder. This is truly the birthplace of champions. \nThroughout this history\, great friendships have been forged\, skills tested\, and endurance pushed to its limits. But despite the different skill levels and riding expectations of our participants\, we always return to one fundamental truth: The riders who join us at Coulson Hill leave with an experience that will forever change them. The sense of accomplishment and exhilaration will get you addicted. And you will ride more. And you will get stronger and fitter. And you’ll have the time of your life doing it! But don’t say I didn’t warn you. \nFamily & Fun-Focussed What makes our series unique is the broad skill and age range that we draw. For example\, our youngest rider was only 4 years old and our oldest\, 69 years. No other series in Ontario is as family-focussed and fun-oriented as the Coulson Hill Weekly Series. The welcoming vibe at our series is legendary. Everyone there knows the fear and anxiety of coming out for the first time – we’ve all been there! Once you arrive on site\, locate the registration tent\, speak with our friendly team\, let your tension go and watch the arenalin flow. \nWe will ensure you know what to do\, how to share the trails with other users\, how to handle passing\, and what signage to be aware of. Before every race\, we discuss the particulars of a given course and make sure everyone is aware of specific challenges that lay ahead. All technical obstacles are optional. You will never be faced with a situation where you have to ride beyond your abilities – unless you want to! Our Mini-Me participants are treated to their very own simplified course with minimized technical difficulty and reduced climbing. The goal is to create the best possible atmosphere for these budding young riders to ensure that become cyclists for life. \n\n \n\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Road - Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour - Ottawa
DESCRIPTION:The 50th edition of the Ottawa Bicycle Club’s Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour (RLCT) is scheduled for June 10 and 11\, 2023.  With up to 1500 cyclists\, this two-day event is one of the largest such events in Canada.  Cyclists start in either Ottawa or Perth and ride to Kingston on the Saturday\, then return on the Sunday.   \nThere are four routes with one-way lengths of 106km to 220km.  The routes go through the scenic countryside of the Rideau Valley passing many picturesque lakes and historic towns.  The Ottawa Bicycle Club provides luggage transfer to and from Kingston\, facilities at official rest stops\, mobile repair services\, police supervision at major intersections\, and other support on the supported routes – see the routes page. \n \n Registration\n \nRLCT 2023 – Postponed  \nAfter careful consideration\, the RLCT organization committee has made the difficult decision to postpone the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour to July 29-30\, 2023.   \nGiven the ongoing air quality concerns\, the health and safety of all riders\, organizers and volunteers is our top priority.   \nIt is with regret that the 50th anniversary event will not fall on the traditional RLCT weekend (the second weekend in June) but we are grateful\, with the cooperation of Queen’s University\, to be able to hold the event nonetheless!  \nBib pick-ups scheduled for Friday\, June 9 and Saturday\, June 10 are cancelled until further notice.   \nWe recognize that not everyone will be able to make this new date. Please be patient as we communicate next steps (including the process for cancelling and requesting a refund) in the coming days.

SUMMARY:Mountain Bike - Ontario Cup #3 - Walden Trails
DESCRIPTION:Nestled amidst the rugged landscape of Northern Ontario\, Sudbury is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking natural beauty and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Sudbury is a mountain biker’s paradise with over 300 freshwater lakes\, sprawling forests\, and stunning rock formations. \nThe second new course returning this season is the picturesque Walden Trails Park\, less than 20min outside of downtown Sudbury. Taking in the beautiful Canadian Shield on and off the race course\, this won’t be an event you will want to miss. Utilizing the naturally rocky terrain to its fullest advantage when designing the course\, the Walden Mountain Bike Club is excited to return to the Ontario Cup calendar since running back-to-back Canada Cup events in 2013 & 14. The third and final round of the MTB OCup series will be a test of technical ability and endurance\, where riders with strong technical prowess and who can ride the critical rocky sections lap after lap consistently will shine. \nFor riders who dabble in both MTB and Road cycling\, consider spending the week in Northeastern Ontario and participating in the North Bay Road Provincial Championships\, which happens just five days later and creates an amazing weeklong cycling adventure exploring the beautiful but mostly untapped cycling routes throughout the region. \nFor more information on Walden Trails and the Walden Mountain Bike Club click here. \n \n \n \n Registration\n \n \n Bulletin\n \n \n Tech Guide

SUMMARY:Road - Provincial Championships - North Bay
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Cup (OCup) Road Series has finally arrived and will kick into high gear on May 14th. For the 2023 OCup Road Series\, Ontario Cycling is partnering with Performance Driven Events for three OCups and the Provincial Championships. Riders will be racing on two new courses in Bradford and Lansdowne and be back to race fan-favorite Northumberland again for 2023. \n \n Road Bulletin\n \n \n OCup Series Registration\n \n \n Individual Registration ITT\n \n \n Tech Guide ITT\n \n \n Individual Registration Criterium\n \n \n Tech Guide CRIT\n \n \n Individual Registration Road Race\n \n \n Tech Guide ROAD RACE\n \nClosing the season with the biggest highlight of the decade\nThe 2023 Provincial Championships will return to North Bay as a triple header event starting on Friday of the August long weekend. This year’s Provincials will incorporate the Individual Time Trial Championships 20 km south of North Bay at the Municipality of East Ferris. The course will be familiar to back-to-back participants from last year as it will utilize some roads of last year’s Provincial Road Race. Riders will start in the Town of Corbeil\, ON\, heading south along Corbeil Road\, which features over 100 metres of climbing every 10 km\, for roughly 11km until the turn-around point at the Wasi Cross Country Ski Club\, making their way back along the same stretch. \nRight in the heart of North Bay is the spot for the Provincial Criterium Race. Well-paved roads will be the framework for this exciting spectacle. The mix of sweeping and technical turns will draw attention from the local community and spectators who spend the long weekend in the area. \nThe weekend will be rounded up by the Provincial Road Race just outside of town. Revisiting the course from last season\, riders will make their way onto the 15 km circuit leaving from the East Ferris Municipality Office. The finish line of the course\, which features rolling hills with approximately 150 metres of elevation per lap\, will be located on Champaign Road\, right beside the KRMP Wellness Studio. The Ontario Provincial Police will be on-site to ensure rider safety during the event. \n \n \nProvincial Championships Road Race coursemap and elevation [North Bay] \n \n \nProvincial Championships Criterium coursemap and elevation [North Bay]

SUMMARY:Mountain Bike - Provincial Championships - Kelso Conversation Area
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Provincial Championships will return to Kelso Conservation Area to cap off the end of a great summer of racing. Located in the GTA\, the Kelso Conservation Area provides an ideal framework for mountain bike events. Its unique terrain and spectacular scenery can challenge and inspire riders of all skill levels. The park’s trails offer a variety of terrains\, including rocky and technical singletrack\, fast and flowy descents\, and steep and punchy climbs. The area’s diverse landscape also features some of the most stunning vistas in the region\, including views of the Escarpment and the shimmering Kelso Lake. \nCome participate in what will surely be a memorable weekend of racing at Kelso once again. Located in the GTA within a 40min drive from downtown Toronto and the majority of cyclists within the province\, we hope to see one of the biggest fields of the season come out to celebrate the conclusion of the MTB season and the many provincial champions that will be crowned. Kelso has an extensive network of trails that is open to the public season-long and a wide range of trails for every ability level. Characterized by its steep climb up the escarpment/ski slopes during the winter and its dusty conditions\, it was a war of attrition when provincial championships were last held at Kelso in 2018. Maintaining a big cardio engine up until this point in the season and being able to capitalize on the flowing descents will pay dividends for what is sure to be a test for all participants. \nFor more information on\nKelso Conservation Area\, click here. \n\n\nRegistration\n\n\nBulletin\n\n\nTech Guide
