SUMMARY:GFNY - Ottawa
DESCRIPTION:Schedule of Events   \nSeptember 10– Recommend Arrival Day  \nSeptember 11- EXPO  \nSeptember 12- EXPO  \nSeptember 13- Race Day  \nSeptember 14- Earliest Recommended departure   \n  \nRace week activities\, the start\, the finish and the post-race activities all take place aside the Richcraft Recreation Complex\, in the Katana North tech hub. The course travels on rural roads in the Katana neighborhood and offers GFNY riders a fully closed-to-cars cycling route\, with start-to-finish timing\, two aid stations for the medium route and four aid stations for the long route riders.  \nThe course is relatively flat\, with many gentle inclines\, which will provide a fast race but the undulation will split the pelotons. With a flat and fast start\, the urban landscape quickly disappears between sharp\, technical turns that take you rapidly into scenic\, wooded rural areas.  \nUpon reaching Marchurst Road\, you’ll cover 7km of a straight road on a false flat. The course has some turns\, but also longer straight sections\, providing ideal conditions to work with a group and enjoy the fully closed-to-cars route with ample stationary police and police on motorbikes.  \nBefore reaching the u-turn at the far north portion of the course\, there is a 3km climb with 50m ascent and a max grade of 4.5%. After a right-hand U-turn there is a short descent.  \nAt Fifth Line Road\, you climb and descend a ridge near Constance Lake. Being so close to the river\, crosswinds are almost a guarantee. Stick to a group\, draft\, and conserve your energy.  \nOnce you return to March Road\, near the start\, the race splits. While the Medium Course diverts toward the finish line\, those on the Long Course begin their second loop. This is where the energy management from the first lap makes the difference. The second loop will provide a different experience from the first: the dynamic of the group you’ve formed in the second group\, plus the 60km of distance raced will add to the challenge.  \nAt the end of the loop\, make a left onto Wild Acre Ln and prepare for the final sprint to the finish line at the Richcraft Recreation Complex. Awaiting you at the finish line will be medals\, a finish line aid station\, a post-race meal\, music\, festivities and the awards ceremony. Hang out and celebrate your day and achievements with friends\, clubmates and family.  \n  \nLong Route – 118.3 km / 784 m+  \n \n  \nMedium Route – 66.5 km / 456 m+  \n \n  \nMore Information \nRegistration \n  \nSponsors:

SUMMARY:Ride with the Randonneuses: A Women-Only 200km Brevet
DESCRIPTION:Club: Randonneurs Ontario Endurance Cycling Club\nDate: Saturday September 19\, 2026\nDeparture: \nTim Horton’s / A&W\, 123 Pioneer Dr\nKitchener\, ON\n \nRoute: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55793125\nRegistration: https://register.randonneursontario.ca/event/2026/huron/win-del-velodrome-1313/\n \nCost: $0*\n* Must be a Trial or Full Member of the Randonneurs Ontario Club in order to participate. Club membership requires a minimum of Ontario Cycling Community membership.\n\nDiscover the world of endurance cycling with Randonneurs Ontario. We are hosting a women-only 200km brevet designed to introduce riders to the unique discipline of randonneuring in a supportive\, community-focused environment. This year’s route features a checkpoint stop at the old outdoor Windel Velodrome. \nWhat is Randonneuring?\nUnlike a Gran Fondo or a road race\, randonneuring is a non-competitive\, long-distance form of cycling. It is a test of endurance\, navigation\, and self-reliance. \n\nThe Route: There are no road closures or directional markings. You will follow a provided GPS track or cue sheet strictly.\nThe Pace: This is not a race. You ride at your own pace—solo or in a group—with the goal of finishing within the 13.5-hour time limit.\nThe Results: All successful finishers are listed alphabetically on the club website; there are no podiums\, only the personal achievement of the distance.\n\nSupport & Controls\nWhile randonneuring generally requires riders to be self-supported between stops\, this special event features staffed checkpoints (controls). Club members will be stationed at three points along the route to stamp your brevet card\, provide snacks\, and offer a friendly cheering section to keep your spirits high. \nNote on Self-Sufficiency: Between controls\, riders must remain self-reliant. You may assist fellow participants\, but you cannot accept outside “follow-car” support or help that isn’t available to every other rider on the course. \n\nRegistration & Membership\nThere is no entry fee for this ride\, but participants must be members of Randonneurs Ontario and Ontario Cycling (OC). \n\n\nTrial Membership: New riders are encouraged to sign up for a free trial membership. \n\n\nFull Membership: A full season membership grants you access to dozens of club events throughout 2026. \n\n\nInsurance: A Community Tier membership with Ontario Cycling is required for insurance purposes. \n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\nDistance: 200km \n\n\nTime Limit: 13.5 Hours (Finishes over the limit are recorded as OTL). \n\n\nAtmosphere: Encouraging\, inclusive\, and strong. \n\n\nCome ride strong with the “randonneuses” of Ontario! #WeRideAsOne \nQuestions? Reach out to Fred Chagnon at vp-huron@randonneursontario.ca. \n

SUMMARY:Hardwood Fall Epic 8 Hour
DESCRIPTION:The Epic 8 Hour Mountain Bike Relay is all about the camaraderie\, sportsmanship and the gritty\, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal or team challenge to complete as many laps as possible. Whether riding just for fun\, or vying for a podium spot in your category\, the Epic 8 Hour will be a memorable experience. Using Ontario’s premier Mountain Bike destinations and trails\, the Epic 8 Hour promises the best in facilities\, fun\, varied courses\, and support for riders. \nThe Epic 8 Hour takes place over an 8 hour time frame on a 10 km course which starts and finishes at the same location. The object is not to finish first\, but to complete the greatest number of laps before the end of the event. There is a Solo category for the hard cores\, but most people do it as a (2 person\, 3-4 person\, or 5-6 person) team. Only one member of the team is on the course at any one time. In other words you take turns riding. \nRegistration (Coming Soon) \n  \nFor any event inquiries please email Events@pulseracing.ca
