SUMMARY:CX OCup #4 - Prologue Cross
DESCRIPTION:Prologue Cross returns to Elgin Park in Uxbridge on Sunday\, October 18\, 2026\, for a full day of Ontario Cycling Cyclocross O-Cup racing\, beginner-friendly riding and community fun. \nDesigned by Jeff Faulds\, the course will use the park’s varied terrain to deliver a true cyclocross challenge\, with tight turns\, changing surfaces\, short climbs\, barriers\, dismounts and fast transitions. \nIn addition to O-Cup racing\, the event will include an untimed Try-a-CX session for adults and youth\, a dedicated timed women-only beginner race\, and a kids’ fun course for riders aged 12 and under. Cyclocross\, gravel and mountain bikes are welcome for the beginner events. \nSpectators can enjoy the action from the Second Wedge beer garden in the little red barn\, along with food\, coffee from Bridge Social\, music\, professional race announcing and on-site support from Uxbridge Physiotherapy. \nNet proceeds will support the Uxbridge Hospital Foundation. SUMMARY:Rising Stars Track ID Camp
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling will be hosting a Rising Stars Track Talent Identification Camp on Saturday November 7 from 1-3pm. The camp will be focused on developing athletes primarily in the U15 category but will be open to newer athletes in the U17 category (i.e. those not attending the Advanced Skills Clinics).  The camp will serve as an opportunity to both introduce athletes to the type of training conducted at the Ontario Track Academy and assess athletes for invitation to attend the upcoming 3-part Rising Stars Camp Series. \nAthletes who are identified through this camp will be invited to attend a series of Rising Stars camps: \nDecember 12 2026 (Standing Start/Sprint) \nJanuary 9 2027 (Team Pursuit) \nFebruary 27 2027 (Omnium) \n*Each camp will include a sport science education workshop and/or video session.  The cost per camp will be $60. \nAthlete Requirements* \n\nAged 13-17 in 2027 (exception considered on a case by case basis)\nOC Membership (UCI/Compete/Challenge)\nMilton Track Certified\nPrevious race experience at OC Youth Track Development Series\, Provincial Championships\, or NCIM Race Nights\nCommitted to racing 2026-2027 OCups & Provincial Championships\n\n  \nRegistration \n  \n*Any questions regarding eligibility or appropriateness of the camp can be directed to michael.selliah@ontariocycling.org

SUMMARY:2026 Coach Conference
DESCRIPTION:The conference provides an opportunity for cycling coaches from all disciplines to further develop their knowledge and skills\, hear from industry professionals\, and network and share best practices with fellow coaches. The conference will again be facilitated by National Coach Developer of the Year Recipient Glenn Cundari (Founder Coach+) who will also lead sessions\, workshops\, and conclude the conference with a guided wrap-up that brings it all together\, leaving each coach with a personalized development plan that will remain with them as they continue on in their coaching endeavours. \nPresenters and workshops are being finalized and will be released over the coming weeks. Topics include optimizing athlete skills acquisition (presenter: Peter Glassford)\, the role of AI in coaching\, and mental performance for coaches. \nRegistration includes a light breakfast\, lunch\, snacks\, and a swag bag. DESCRIPTION:The 2026/2027 Ontario Cycling (OC) Track OCup Series will open with an exciting change by being sanctioned with Cycling Canada’s C2 event.  National Cycling Institute Milton (NCIM) will be your local Milton organizers for a weekend of exciting racing.   \n  \n\nRegistration for all OCups is open to riders 10 years of age and older.  \n\n\nU17 riders may choose to race in an adult ability-based category or the youth categories.  \n\n\nU15 riders may be eligible to race in the adult ability-based category with an approved upgrade. Please review the Youth Upgrade Guidelines for more information.  \n\n\nOnly Compete/Challenge membership or UCI licenses are permitted. Out-of-province riders must have a UCI license. Licenses will not be sold on the event day and must be purchased in advance.  \n\n\nRegistration for all OCups will close on Wednesday at 11:59 pm prior to the event. \n\n\nIf the Wednesday 11:59pm registration deadline passes and a rider would still like to register\, they have until Wednesday at 4pm to contact the OC office for registration to be reopened and will be subject to an additional $50 late entry fee.  \n\n  \n  \nYouth Track Certification   \n\nAll youth riders must be certified on the Milton Velodrome Track prior to racing. Once you have been certified on the track once you don’t have to be certified again.    \n\n\nAll certifications are done through NCIM through one of the following methods:   \n\n\nRiders who have no track riding experience will need to attend a Youth Track Certification. Please contact NCIM for more information on when the next Track Certification is taking place.    \n\n\nRiders who have track riding experience elsewhere may get certified 1 hour prior to competition beginning. Please contact NCIM to arrange the time for the certification.   \n\n\nRiders who are track certified in Bromont will need to provide proof that they have been track certified.
