DESCRIPTION:Wednesday night cyclocross races are back at Hardwood starting September 11th to October 23rd 2024. \nWhether a returning or new rider\, an experienced or new racer\, we welcome you to the Hardwood Wednesday Night Cyclocross Races. You can enter just one race\, do a few\, or the whole series. We welcome all ages and abilities. \n\nSingle Night Entry is open online until 1:00 pm Wednesday.\nThere is no entry after 1:00 pm Wednesday. \nCourse Details\nThe course is a mix of grass\, sand\, hard-pack dirt\, and double track ski trails. Racers will ride multiple laps of the approximately 3km course. Course width and length is increased over previous years to allow safe passing if required.  It will test the skills of all levels of riders. \nRider Sign in/Number Pickup/Timing Chip Pickup will be at the Finish Line beginning at 5:00 pm. Timing Chips must be picked up by 5:50 pm.\nRace plates must be kept by the racer for the duration of the series. \nRegistration Link \n\nTech Guide (Coming Soon)

You will be spellbound by views of the Mississippi River\, Dalhousie Lake & the rolling hills of forests that dot the landscape. \nLogging and colonization has shaped the history of this once more populated area. Today the old logging roads are quiet and the marble of the nearby Tatlock Quarry has given many of the roads a distinctly white hue\, similar to the Italian cycling classic Strada Bianche. \nCome challenge yourself on 4 different routes ranging from 35km to 115km. DESCRIPTION:This year the Canadian XCM MTB Championships are hosted by the Black Sheep Mountain Bike Club in Thunder Bay. This event is a week long affair to celebrate Thunder Bay’s Mountain Biking scene. Saturday September 7th will be a full day of riding with 5 different course options\, the 5km Mini-Miner\, 15km Short Course\, 27km Medium Course\, 60km Long Course and the 90km Canadian Championship Course. DESCRIPTION:The Town of Pelham partners with Ontario Cycling to deliver a community program during August and September\, 2024. This program is directed for youth between the ages of 7-10. \nHopOn is a game-based activity program for youth to develop on-bike skills. This program was adopted by Cycling Canada from Cycling BC and is considered the “national standard” when teaching fundamental cycling skills. \nLed by trained instructors\, the program provides youth to participate in an inclusive & positive sports environment. With over 130 games & activities\, the HopOn curriculum has 5 levels of adaptability to meet the needs of the participants’ development stage. \nSkills that are practiced through this curriculum of game-based activities include but are not limited to helmet & bike check\, braking\, gearing\, ready position\, straight-line riding\, turning/cornering\, front-wheel lifts\, tilts & dismounts\, one-hand riding & partner riding. \nRegistration
