DESCRIPTION:Fee: \n$60.00 +HST \nInstructor:  \nChantal Thompson \nWorkshop Description:  \nCycling Practice Planning provides an opportunity for a virtual workshop on structuring safe and effective cycling- practices\, identifying risk factors that may be encountered when delivering lesson plans\, and developing emergency action plans. This workshop focuses on having participants design a practice that applies to MTB\, BMX\, Road\, Recreational Riding\, or Youth Programming. Lastly\, this workshop reflects on the Long-Term Athlete Development stages and the considerations of utilizing this model when designing a practice. She has served as the Mental Performance Lead for the National Sport Science and Sport Medicine Advisory Committee for Own the Podium and was the Mental Performance Lead at the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario for almost 2 decades. \nJudy maintains a private practice working with athletes and coaches from a wide variety of sports as well as National and Provincial Sport Organizations. She has written numerous articles and presented at national and international conferences. Her work with athletes and coaches focuses on performance enhancement\, performance under pressure and building resiliency. She takes an educational approach so that athletes and coaches understand the theoretical concepts as well as developing the skills and strategies to integrate into their daily training and competitive experiences.

As outlined in the memo on July 31\, the Competition Development program is changing\, and we will be pilot this beginning in January. \nCandidates must receive the recommendation of their Provincial or Territorial Association (P/TSO’s). The P/TSO’s are encouraged to prioritize coaches that are identified for the 2025 Canada Summer Games and that have taken some Multi-Sport Competition Development modules. The Multi-Sport modules are generally offered online by your Provincial Coaching Association.  \nRegistration:  \nEligible candidates must complete the application form (English or French) and make payment no later than January 8\, 2024. Candidates will receive confirmation as registration is received. \nSkills and Tactics Theory and Training to Race courses will be delivered every month in both English and French (minimum 5 participants required). If coaches are currently registered within the LMS they will receive a notification when any new course is added and can then register. \nContent Specific Training for Learning Facilitators\nAs we want to continue to build coaching capacity across the country\, Cycling Canada will be organizing a Content Specific Learning Facilitator Training on November 28 and 29 over Zoom lead by Paul Jurbala Master Coach Developer. Coach candidates must be a Community Trained or Comp-Intro Certified to take the training. Coaches will also have to take Make Ethical Decision (MED) and Learning Facilitator Core Training prior to attending. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Cycling Canada Saturday Fundo! Every Saturday at 12:05pm EST\, Cycling Canada will host a fondo-style ride open to all skill levels and abilities on rotating courses. Course offerings will sample some of Zwift’s longer distance routes\, with sub-categories split by distance. The weekly fundo will be marked as a “ride”\, but Zwifters can expect some action at the front\, not unlike an in-person fondo. SUMMARY:Track - 2024 Provincial Championships - Milton\, ON
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling (OC) is proud to present the 2024 Track Provincial Championships held at the Mattamy National Cycling Center located at 2015 Pan Am Boulevard in Milton\, Ontario. The Track Provincial Championship\, sanctioned and governed by Ontario Cycling\, will be held over 3 days\, showcasing a variety of events.  \n Registration is pre-registration only. Licenses will not be sold on event day and must be purchased in advance.  \n\nAll riders must be certified to race on the track. \nFor Ontario athletes only\, all riders must have competed in at least 1 OCup in order to compete at the Ontario Track Provincial Championships. \nAs this is a Provincial Championship event\, registration is prioritized to Ontario citizens first. After this\, registration will open up for out-of-province riders. \nLate entries will not be allowed. \nOnly 2024 Compete Memberships and UCI Licenses are allowed.
