SUMMARY:Trek Twilight MTB Series p/b Bushtukah
DESCRIPTION:The Trek Twilight Series powered by Bushtukah is a six-event recreational mountain bike series hosted at Domaine Kanawe\, Vorlage\, Dunrobin\, and Wesley Clover.   \nDesigned to encourage mountain bike participation in the Ottawa/Gatineau area\, this series offers a variety of course options ranging from beginner to advanced\, ensuring accessibility for riders of all abilities. While timed ride metrics are available\, the primary focus of the Trek Twilight Series is on skill development\, fitness progression\, and fostering a sense of community. By emphasizing fun\, inclusivity\, and shared experiences\, the series creates an opportunity for riders to connect with like-minded members of the local mountain biking community.  \nDistances are the same for men and women. Categories are defined based on age and skill level\, not necessarily on fitness level. We have over 25 categories to choose from. Something for everyone. We have had participants ranging from age 5 to 70.  \n  \nOntario Non-Member Permit: $5 for youth U18\, $10 18+  \nQuebec Non-Member Permit: $10 for youth U18\, $15 18+  \n  \nMembers Are:  \n\nOntario Residents: OC Challenge\, Compete\, or UCI Race License holders \n\n\nQuebec Residents: FQSC Provincial License equivalent or UCI Race License holders \n\n  \nAll Riders must sign:  \n\nOntario 2026 Waiver & Concussion Form (added to all CCN reg pages) \nQuebec 2026 Waiver \nOC & FQSC Agreement \n\n  \nThere will be NO on-site registration. All registrations must be made online. Please pick-up numbers on site and keep your race plate for each event.   \n   \nNEW for 2026: Since our series will be spanning across provincial borders\, we have been in talks with Ontario Cycling and the FQSC to find a solution for having our events sanctioned in both Ontario and Quebec. Thanks to their collaborative efforts\, the Twilight series is in its final stages of being sanctioned in both provinces and they have created a special allowance for cross-border licensing. This means that if you have a FQSC license\, you can race the Ontario stages on this license\, you will not need to purchase an additional Ontario Cycling license. The same goes for Ontario license holders\, your license will be valid for our Quebec location stages. This cross border license agreement only applies to the Trek Twilight Series p/b Bushtukah. The Ontario licenses are fully valid for any sanctioned event in Ontario. The FQSC licenses are fully through Canada as they are UCI licenses.  \n   \n Here are some common scenarios:  \nQuebec Resident  \n\nYou have a FQSC license = no need to purchase one with our series \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time = purchase a one day license from FQSC\, this option is not available at Wesley Clover location \n\n\nYou have no license and want to race in both provinces = purchase license from FQSC \n\n\nFQSC license costs\, one day $10 youth\, $15 adult\, full license $40 youth\, $60 adult. \n\n\nFQSC licenses are valid through all of Canada as they are UCI based licenses \n\nOntario Resident  \n\nYou have an OC Challenge\, Compete or UCI license = no need to purchase one with our series. \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time = purchase a one day license from FQSC if the event is in Quebec. \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time in Ontario = purchase OC challenge\, compete or UCI license. SUMMARY:Ride with the Randonneuses: A Women-Only 200km Brevet
DESCRIPTION:Club: Randonneurs Ontario Endurance Cycling Club\nDate: Saturday September 19\, 2026\nDeparture: \nTim Horton’s / A&W\, 123 Pioneer Dr\nKitchener\, ON\n \nRoute: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39353747\nRegistration: https://register.randonneursontario.ca/event/2026/huron/win-del-velodrome-1313/\n \nCost: $0*\n* Must be a Trial or Full Member of the Randonneurs Ontario Club in order to participate. Club membership requires a minimum of Ontario Cycling Community membership.\n\nDiscover the world of endurance cycling with Randonneurs Ontario. We are hosting a women-only 200km brevet designed to introduce riders to the unique discipline of randonneuring in a supportive\, community-focused environment. This year’s route features a checkpoint stop at the old outdoor Windel Velodrome. \nWhat is Randonneuring?\nUnlike a Gran Fondo or a road race\, randonneuring is a non-competitive\, long-distance form of cycling. It is a test of endurance\, navigation\, and self-reliance. \n\nThe Route: There are no road closures or directional markings. You will follow a provided GPS track or cue sheet strictly.\nThe Pace: This is not a race. You ride at your own pace—solo or in a group—with the goal of finishing within the 13.5-hour time limit.\nThe Results: All successful finishers are listed alphabetically on the club website; there are no podiums\, only the personal achievement of the distance.\n\nSupport & Controls\nWhile randonneuring generally requires riders to be self-supported between stops\, this special event features staffed checkpoints (controls). Club members will be stationed at three points along the route to stamp your brevet card\, provide snacks\, and offer a friendly cheering section to keep your spirits high. \nNote on Self-Sufficiency: Between controls\, riders must remain self-reliant. You may assist fellow participants\, but you cannot accept outside “follow-car” support or help that isn’t available to every other rider on the course. \n\nRegistration & Membership\nThere is no entry fee for this ride\, but participants must be members of Randonneurs Ontario and Ontario Cycling (OC). \n\n\nTrial Membership: New riders are encouraged to sign up for a free trial membership. \n\n\nFull Membership: A full season membership grants you access to dozens of club events throughout 2026. \n\n\nInsurance: A Community Tier membership with Ontario Cycling is required for insurance purposes. \n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\nDistance: 200km \n\n\nTime Limit: 13.5 Hours (Finishes over the limit are recorded as OTL). \n\n\nAtmosphere: Encouraging\, inclusive\, and strong. \n\n\nCome ride strong with the “randonneuses” of Ontario! #WeRideAsOne \nQuestions? Reach out to Fred Chagnon at vp-huron@randonneursontario.ca. \n
