SUMMARY:Road - Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred
DESCRIPTION:In it’s second decade\, the Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred is billed as “The Toughest Century Ride” in Ontario. It is a well established Charity Century Ride in Bancroft\, Ontario with the option of a full 100 mile century ride or the more sensible 100 kilometer Canadian Century ride. New in 2022 is a 140ish km gravel course. The fall gravel roads are as spectacular as the paved ones with less traffic and all the hills you have come to expect from the Hilly. All three will weave you through the colourful fall hardwood forests\, lakes\, hills and valleys of the Canadian Shield. This is a spectacular\, fun and challenging charity ride to wrap up your summer cycling season. it is not a race but no one is going to stop you from riding your best. Each course will be a full Strava segment that you can post and share as you see fit. We all strive for our personal bests \nWebsite \nRegistration

SUMMARY:Road - Greg's Cycle For Kids
DESCRIPTION:Share the Road Cycling Coalition is proud to host Greg’s Cycle for Kids in memory of OPP Sergeant Greg Stobbart killed while on a training ride on his bike in 2006. The Coalition was founded in Greg’s memory – and has held this memorial Ride every year to support their work: creating bicycle friendly communities with partners and community leaders\, passing road safety legislation and working to make our roads safer. \nGreg’s Cycle for Kids gives a powerful opportunity to make a game-changing difference in the life of a child by giving them the gift of freedom\, independence and healthy habits for life. Because that’s what bikes do. \nProceeds from the event will be used to purchase bikes\, helmets\, locks and to provide cycling instruction for kids in priority neighbourhoods\, through a partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton-Halton and support Share the Road’s work.  Partners in law enforcement will assist with cycling instruction. Lessons will be hosted on-site at the Club.   \nJoin Greg’s Cycle for Kids and help making the dream of owning a bike a reality for children in Halton Region and Hamilton. \nThis event will be GPS supported with limited course markings. Printed maps will be available at check-in. There are four supported rest stops on the 140 km route\, two on the 100 km route and one on the 50 km route. Food and refreshments will be available pre & post-ride.   \nWebsite \nRegistration
