SUMMARY:Winspace Ontario Criterium Series - Tussle with the Hustle Toronto Crit - Toronto\, ON
DESCRIPTION:The unprecedented and iconic course will find racers competing on the Downsview Airport tarmac. The loops itself is 1.2km in length with 4 meters of elevation per lap and will feature one highly technical turn after the start/finish. \n\nRegistration\n\n\nTech Guide\n \nRegional Crit Series Point System\nPoints are awarded to the top 15 finishers in all categories\, only riders who purchase their membership through OC are eligible to earn points. Riders who do not finish (DNF) are not entitled to points. Crit Series Champions will be decided by a tally of all the points earned at each Crit event and Provincial Championships for the current year. Top 3 overall in the series for each category will be awarded at Provincial Championships\, winners must attend provincials or risk forfeiting their prize. \nThe breakdown of points are as follows for each category: \n\n\n\nPlace\nPoints\n\n\n\n\n1st\n25\n\n\n2nd\n20\n\n\n3rd\n16\n\n\n4th\n13\n\n\n5th\n11\n\n\n6th\n10\n\n\n7th\n9\n\n\n8th\n8\n\n\n9th\n7\n\n\n10th\n6\n\n\n11th\n5\n\n\n12th\n4\n\n\n13th\n3\n\n\n14th\n2\n\n\n15th\n1\n\n\n\nRiders will earn a x1.2 multiplier to their total 2024 points tally for competing in the 2024 Crit Provincial Championships. To earn the multiplier a rider must both register for Provincial Championships and start their race\, riders who do not start their race (DNS) are not eligible. For example\, the final top three of a category could look like: \n\n\n\nName\nCrit #1\nCrit #2\nCrit #3\nTotal\nProvincials\nFinal Points\n\n\n\n\nRider 1\n20 (2nd)\n25 (1st)\n16 (3rd)\n61\nx 1.2 (Yes)\n73.2\n\n\nRider 2\n16 (3rd)\n16 (3rd)\n25 (1st)\n57\nx 1.2 (Yes)\n68.4\n\n\nRider 3\n25 (1st)\n20 (2nd)\n20 (2nd)\n65\nx 1 (No)\n65\n\n\n\nPoints will be awarded at each of the (5) events for all 8 categories offered and a multiplier on those points\, will be offered to all who compete at the OC Crit Provincials.  Updated standings will be posted the Tuesday after each event on the OC website. \nThe series finale will be hosted by OC at the Niagara Criterium Provincials in Dunnville where series winner of each category present at Provincials will receive a pair of Winspace Hyper Lun Wheels (value of over $2\,000).

SUMMARY:City of St. Catharines Presents: HopOn Community Program
DESCRIPTION:The Town of St Catharines partners with Ontario Cycling to deliver a community program during June & July\, 2024. This program is directed for youth between the ages of 7-11. \nHopOn is a game-based activity program for youth to develop on-bike skills. This program was adopted by Cycling Canada from Cycling BC and is considered the “national standard” when teaching fundamental cycling skills. \nLed by trained instructors\, the program provides youth to participate in an inclusive & positive sports environment. With over 130 games & activities\, the HopOn curriculum has 5 levels of adaptability to meet the needs of the participants’ development stage. \nSkills that are practiced through this curriculum of game-based activities include but are not limited to helmet & bike check\, braking\, gearing\, ready position\, straight-line riding\, turning/cornering\, front-wheel lifts\, tilts & dismounts\, one-hand riding & partner riding. \nThe sessions utilize the newly renovated Tennis Courts at the Port Weller Community Centre\, and may also use the trails of Malcolmson Eco Park. \nParticipants must bring the following items: \n\nBicycle in working condition (ideally without training wheels)\nCSA approved bike helmet\nWater bottle\n\nRegistration

We welcome all ages and abilities\, and are dedicated to providing the most fun and family oriented experience! The Wednesday Night Races will open with a Preview and Registration Night on May 1st. \nCome pick up your number plate\, in a more leisurely fashion\, and then go for a spin on your favorite (or soon to be favorite)\, course. After that\, Wednesday nights beginning May 8th through to Aug 28th\, we host a 17 week Mountain Bike race series\, starting at 7 pm each week. This is our longest running event which draws the greatest number of riders\, from young children participating in their first race experience\, to some of the best in Canada. \nEach week you choose your race course which can vary from the shorter and easier 6 km Fun course (or 2.5 km SprocKids Trail)\, to the highly technical 15 km Radical course with lots of climbing. \n\nRegistration\n \n\nPulse Racing
