SUMMARY:Track - 2025 Canadian Track Championships - Milton\, ON
DESCRIPTION:The U17/Junior Canadian Track Championships are back for another year! This year’s championships will take place at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre right here in Milton from April 4th to 6th. \nIt will be a jam-packed weekend for the U17 and Junior athletes with 10 different events to participate in such as Keirin\, Sprint\, Kilo and many different Team race opportunities as well. This is an impressive cohort of athletes and will definitely be a great weekend of racing to watch! \nIf you are in the Milton area\, this event is open to the public and requires no admission fees for spectators. DESCRIPTION:OCup #1 – December 6th\, 2025  \nOntario Cycling (OC) is proud to present the 2025-2026 Track OCup series held at the Mattamy National Cycling Center located at 2015 Pan Am Boulevard in Milton\, Ontario. The Track OCup series\, sanctioned and governed by Ontario Cycling\, consists of 3 separate racing opportunities. Each of the three OCups will offer different events at each one with the inclusion of youth adults and para riders. The OCup series is designed to provide high-quality racing opportunities for riders prior to competing at the Provincial Championships  \n\nRegistration for all OCups is open to riders 8 years of age and older.  \n\n\nU17 riders may choose to race in an adult ability-based category or the youth categories.  \n\n\nU15 riders may be eligible to race in the adult ability-based category with an approved upgrade. Please review the youth upgrade policy for more information.  \n\n\nThe event is pre-registration only. Late entries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If granted\, will have an additional fee of $50. \n\n\nOnly Compete\, Challenge membership and UCI licenses are permitted. Out-of-Province riders must have a UCI license. Licenses will not be sold on the event day and must be purchased in advance.  \n\n\nRegistration for all OCups will close on Wednesday at 11:59pm prior to the event \nThere will be no day of registration. If a rider who is already registered for an event would like to add additional events once registration has closed they will need to reach out to events.team@ontariocycling.org to get approval from OC to add additional events. Athletes will now begin their race holding from the safety zone railing on the back straight\, completing a 1.5-lap rolling neutral start instead of the traditional single neutral lap. This adjustment ensures both athlete safety and consistency across events. \n​​ \n*Once the start list has been posted there will be NO category changes.

SUMMARY:2026 Track Provincials Milton
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling (OC) is proud to present the 2026 Track Provincials Milton\, a three-day racing event held at the Mattamy National Cycling Center. Sanctioned and governed by Ontario Cycling\, this Championship event will crown our Provincial Championships across a variety of events including Sprint\, Endurance and Team Events.  \n  \n\nRegistration for Provincial Championship is open to riders 8 years of age and older.  \n Track Provincial Milton are run using age-based categories.  \nU11\, U13\, U15 riders will have the opportunity to compete in select Provincial Championship \nOnly Compete/Challenge membership or UCI licenses are permitted. Out-of-Province riders must have a UCI license. Licenses will not be sold on the event day and must be purchased in advance.   \nRegistration for Provincial Championships will close on Wednesday at 11:59 pm prior to the event  \nIf the Wednesday at 11:59pm registration deadline passes and a rider would still like to register\, they have until Thursday at 4pm to contact the OC office for registration to be reopened and will be subject to an additional $50 late entry fee \nThere will be no day of registration. If a rider who is already registered for an event would like to add additional events once registration has closed they will need to reach out to events.team@ontariocycling.org to get approval from OC to add additional events. All requests will be at the reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be at the sole discretion of OC.\n\nPlease note changes to tech guide V9.2 \n\nGear Restrictions for U11 & U13 athletes updated to be 6.71m\n\n  \n\nU15 Individual Pursuit moved from Fri Feb 27 to Sun Mar 1 after their Time Trial and before their Keirin at the request from coaches and families.  All youth U11\, U13\, and U15 now only compete Saturday & Sunday.\n\n  \n\nYouth registration option added allowing youth to register for Saturday’s Omnium ONLY or all races Saturday & Sunday (the only option available previously).\n\n  \n\nDistance changes to match national standards:\n\nU17W Scratch + Tempo 5km\nU17M Scratch + Tempo 7.5km\nU17M Points 15km\n\n\n\n  \n\nPinless Number System (Pocket) use for Timed Events: Riders are permitted to wear only one bib for the following events: Individual Pursuit\, Team Pursuit\, Time Trial\, and Team Sprint.\n\n\n\n\nPinless number systems (i.e. pockets) are ONLY permitted for events where one (1) number is allowed. Numbers must be worn on the lower back as seen in the diagram at the end of this section.\nRiders using a bib number pocket in a bunch/non-permitting race where two (2) bib numbers are required will be fined.\n\n\n\n  \n\nRace lap/point descriptions added for youth U11 & U13 races:\n\n\n\n\n*U11 & U13 Tempo 3km (12 laps) – after the completion of 1 full lap riders will hear the bell signaling points to begin being awarded from 10 laps remaining.\n**U11 & U13 Points 4km (16 laps) – riders will complete 6 laps prior to the first points being awarded from 10 laps remaining and once every 5 laps after that (5 laps remaining + final lap).\n*U11 & U13 Keirin 1km (4 laps) – riders will complete 2.5 laps behind the derny bike starting from the back straight rolling\, when the derny pulls off the riders will race for 2 laps.\n\n\n\n\nRider sign-in timing changed from 30min to 60min (1hr) prior to each riders first race.\n\n  \n\nTeam Sign Up: Team compositions must be submitted by end of day Saturday to the Secretary at the Rider Confirmation Desk – the day prior to team competition Sunday. Please contact NCIM for more information on when the next Track Certification is taking place.\n\n\nRiders who have track riding experience elsewhere may get certified 1 hour prior to competition beginning. Please contact NCIM to arrange the time for the certification.   \n\n\nRiders who are track certified in Bromont will need to provide proof that they have been track certified. Please send all certificates to NCIM.   \n\n​  \n​For any additional questions regarding track certification please contact NCIM at the following address admin@ncirevolution.com    \n\nUpdated Track Start Procedure\nWith the recent installation of plexiglass along the track rail\, it may be challenging for athletes to safely position themselves or hold onto the rail for standing starts. After consultation with our Track Provincial Coach\, our Track Lead Commissaire and counterparts in the UK who have faced similar challenges\, Ontario Cycling will be implementing a revised start procedure for all events requiring a rail start. Athletes will now begin their race holding from the safety zone railing on the back straight\, completing a 1.5-lap rolling neutral start instead of the traditional single neutral lap. The adjustment ensures both athlete safety and consistency across events. \n  \n*Once the start list has been posted there will be NO category changes. \n  \nMattamy National Cycling Centre Bus Route \nDid you know the Mattamy National Cycling Centre now has a bus route? All Milton Transit routes start and end at the Milton GO Station to allow all commuters and residents to get around the community with ease.
