DESCRIPTION:The 2024 HunTer Fondo will again offer four different distances\, but with in a choose-your-own-adventure plus a game within the ride. \n\nJoin us for a thrilling cycling experience in the picturesque landscapes of Peterborough and play a game of Poker! \nThe HunTer Fondo is not just another charity ride; it’s a celebration of John Hunter\, a legendary cycling enthusiast renowned for his challenging rides and getting people out riding. \n\nHosted at 100 Acre Brewing Co.\nLunch provided by Ashburnham Ale House\nSupport stations at Pastry Peddler and Sprinkle n’ Things\n4 different routes!\nGreat prizes for best poker hand\, Strava segments\, and draw prizes\nFundraiser in support of PRHC Foundation and Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation for cardiac and emergency care\n\n  \nJohn Hunter\n \nJohn Hunter passed away 2021 and we miss him. Charlie at Fretori put it best. \n“John Hunter passed away on Sunday. Far too early. He was the best friend anyone could have. He was a mentor\, a friend and employer. He taught me about sales\, business\, the bike industry and two weeks ago he taught me how to use a crowbar better. If I ever needed advice\, I could call him and the conversation was always a good one\, and the advice was even better\, filled with the perfect balance of seriousness and sarcasm and dad jokes. John’s dad jokes were the best\, everyone knows that. \nHis energy was infectious and his attitude made you want to be a better person. Just being around John was good for the soul.\nI did not even like beer but drinking a beer with John\, it tasted good. \nJohn loved to get people out riding. Once he got you hooked on riding\, he wanted you to ride hard and challenge yourself. \nThis is what our Fondo is about – a ride\, good food\, sharing a beer with old and new friends and making a positive impact on our community by supporting our local healthcare. \nA day for that will be good for your soul and hopefully encouraging you to take a bigger bite than you are comfortable and embrace whatever is comes your way on the day. \n\nRegistration \nTech Guide
