SUMMARY:Road - Road Provincials - Dunnville\, ON
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling (OC) and Performance Driven Events are proud to present the 2024 Road Provincial Championships. This year’s Provincial Championships\, sanctioned and governed by Ontario Cycling\, consists of 3 separate racing opportunities\, the Individual Time Trial\, the Road Race and the Criterium. \nThe 2024 Road Provincial Championship course will be hosted on a brand new\, never raced on before circuit for this year. Starting and finishing out of Canborough Ontario\, the loop features 4 corners and only 27 meters of elevation per 18.6km loop. \n· Registration for all Provincial Championships is open to riders 15 years of age and older. \n· The event is pre-registration only. Late entries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If granted\, will have an additional fee of 50.00$ \n· Out of Province riders must have a UCI license. DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce the new location for the ITT Provincials is the Intersection of Norfolk County Road 42 and Elgin County Road 55\, West of Port Burrwell\, ON. \nThe Individual Time Trial Championships will be held in Port Burwell in Norfolk County. The Individual Time Trial Course is best described as fast and flat. Riders will ride down Lakeshore Road towards Port Rowan before returning back to the start and finish area. \nDate: September 2nd 2024 Time: 8:00am – 3:00pm \nLocation:164 County Rd 55\, Port Burwell\, ON \nParking: Parking will be available on the shoulder of the road on 164 County Rd 55 \nFeed zone: There will be no feed zone for this event. Charlie at Fretori put it best. \n“John Hunter passed away on Sunday. Far too early. He was the best friend anyone could have. He was a mentor\, a friend and employer. He taught me about sales\, business\, the bike industry and two weeks ago he taught me how to use a crowbar better. If I ever needed advice\, I could call him and the conversation was always a good one\, and the advice was even better\, filled with the perfect balance of seriousness and sarcasm and dad jokes. John’s dad jokes were the best\, everyone knows that. \nHis energy was infectious and his attitude made you want to be a better person. Just being around John was good for the soul.\nI did not even like beer but drinking a beer with John\, it tasted good. \nJohn loved to get people out riding. Once he got you hooked on riding\, he wanted you to ride hard and challenge yourself. \nThis is what our Fondo is about – a ride\, good food\, sharing a beer with old and new friends and making a positive impact on our community by supporting our local healthcare. \nA day for that will be good for your soul and hopefully encouraging you to take a bigger bite than you are comfortable and embrace whatever is comes your way on the day. \n\nRegistration \nTech Guide
