DESCRIPTION:The Sault Cycle Club (SCC) is excited to welcome athletes and Ontario Cycling to our trail network. With over 60KM of newly constructed Mountain Bike trail\, Sault Ste. Marie\, ON has quickly become a ‘must see’ destination for the sport with options from easy to expert\, cross country\, enduro\, winter fat bike and trail riding. \nThe SCC in collaboration with Ontario Cycling and Tourism Sault Ste. Marie are prepared to provide both quality technical terrain and exceptional atmosphere during the 2026 OCup series. Less than twenty minutes from our downtown core you’ll find that Hiawatha Highlands boasts some of the best trails in Ontario. In addition to our trail network you’ll find that the community has truly embraced the sport and with outfitter shops\, local mountain bike branded beer\, local rider groups and tour bike operators. \nOur trail network is varied and perfect for riders wanting to train technical skills\, offering large jumps\, steep lines and verticals as well as new modern flow XC trail to train technical skills. DESCRIPTION:XCC – September 11th \nTeam Relay – September 12th \nXCO – September 13th \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet ready! The Ontario Mountain Bike Provincial Championships are coming to Woodnewton\, just outside Uxbridge\, in September. This fan-favourite OCup venue is making its highly anticipated return\, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. \nHosted by the Durham Shredders MTB Club\, this 3-day celebration of Ontario mountain biking kicks off September 11th with XCC Short Track\, followed by the Team Relay on the 12th\, and wraps up with XCO on the 13th. Whether you’re chasing podiums or just getting started\, Woodnewton’s trails have something for every rider. This is the place to push your limits and be part of the action. \nPlease note: pre-riding is permitted only during scheduled times\, and trail passes are required. Woodnewton trails are located on private property\, and access outside of event hours is strictly prohibited. \nMore information on the event here. \nPre-ride will be available on the below dates and times\, all riders pre-riding must purchase a $10 single day or $15 multiple days trail pass through CCN to be picked up at the registration tent at Woodnewton prior to riding. SUMMARY:Hardwood Fall Epic 8 Hour
DESCRIPTION:The Epic 8 Hour Mountain Bike Relay is all about the camaraderie\, sportsmanship and the gritty\, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal or team challenge to complete as many laps as possible. Whether riding just for fun\, or vying for a podium spot in your category\, the Epic 8 Hour will be a memorable experience. Using Ontario’s premier Mountain Bike destinations and trails\, the Epic 8 Hour promises the best in facilities\, fun\, varied courses\, and support for riders. \nThe Epic 8 Hour takes place over an 8 hour time frame on a 10 km course which starts and finishes at the same location. The object is not to finish first\, but to complete the greatest number of laps before the end of the event. There is a Solo category for the hard cores\, but most people do it as a (2 person\, 3-4 person\, or 5-6 person) team. Only one member of the team is on the course at any one time.
