SUMMARY:Coaching - Cycling Practice Planning - Theory
DESCRIPTION:The main objective of this Cycling Practice Planning session is theintroduction to working out and developing all aspects necessary to prepare an effective practice session and long-term season plans. Primarily focusing on an appropriate structure for the practice\, including warm-up\, skill development\, physical preparation\, and cool-down. Risk factor identification and Emergency Action Plans specifically for cycling sessions are identified and developed during this session. \nInstructor:\nFred Zottl\nOC Refund Policy:\n\nIf the course is cancelled by Ontario Cycling a 100% refund including CCN fees will be issued.\nIf a participant withdraws from the course more than 14 days before\, they are eligible for a full refund minus CCN fees.\nIf withdrawing between 7 and 14 days before a course\, they are eligible for a 50% refund minus CCN fees.\nThere will be no refunds if participants need to withdraw within 7 days of the course taking place.\n\n\n\nRegistration

SUMMARY:Coaching - Effective Communication & Language in Coaching - Conference
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling\, through support of the Coaches Association of Ontario and in partnership with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario\, will be hosting its 2023 Coach Conference March 25th at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton. This year’s theme is “Effective Communication & Language in Coaching” and will include workshops relating to Addressing Challenging Conversations with Athletes & Parents and Comparing Nutritional Language to the Long-Term Athlete Development Model. Additional workshops will be announced soon. \nThe conference is open to OC members of all levels of coaching experience and cycling disciplines. NCCP Professional Development (PD) points will be provided to coaches attending the conference. \nRegistration is $40.00+HST and includes lunch/snacks. Those interested in attending from outside the GTA may be eligible for travel/accomodation subsidy. Please contact Alex at alex.roger@ontariocycling.org for questions.
