SUMMARY:The Voyageur 200
DESCRIPTION:The Voyageur 200 is a volunteer-run gravel cycling event on some of our favourite backroads and trails in the Nipissing District. This year’s event takes place the weekend of August 14-16\, with distances of 30\, 60\, 100\, and 200 km\, attracting local riders and cyclists from across the province. \nMore than a ride\, The Voyageur 200 is an opportunity for businesses and communities to come together in support of shared priorities – healthy\, active living and access to quality local healthcare. Proceeds from the Voyageur 200 support the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation\, while also contributing to Discovery Routes and the volunteer-led trail networks that make events like this possible. To date\, The Voyageur 200 has raised over $17\,000 \nThe Voyageur 200 was inspired by a deeply personal journey. Event organizer Jeff Miller experienced a stroke and heart attack as a young man\, and credits cycling as a powerful part of his recovery. Riding became a way to rebuild strength\, improve heart health\, and reconnect with community.
