SUMMARY:Trek Twilight MTB Series p/b Bushtukah
DESCRIPTION:The Trek Twilight Series powered by Bushtukah is a six-event recreational mountain bike series hosted at Domaine Kanawe\, Vorlage\, Dunrobin\, and Wesley Clover.   \nDesigned to encourage mountain bike participation in the Ottawa/Gatineau area\, this series offers a variety of course options ranging from beginner to advanced\, ensuring accessibility for riders of all abilities. While timed ride metrics are available\, the primary focus of the Trek Twilight Series is on skill development\, fitness progression\, and fostering a sense of community. By emphasizing fun\, inclusivity\, and shared experiences\, the series creates an opportunity for riders to connect with like-minded members of the local mountain biking community.  \nDistances are the same for men and women. Categories are defined based on age and skill level\, not necessarily on fitness level. We have over 25 categories to choose from. Something for everyone. We have had participants ranging from age 5 to 70.  \n  \nOntario Non-Member Permit: $5 for youth U18\, $10 18+  \nQuebec Non-Member Permit: $10 for youth U18\, $15 18+  \n  \nMembers Are:  \n\nOntario Residents: OC Challenge\, Compete\, or UCI Race License holders \n\n\nQuebec Residents: FQSC Provincial License equivalent or UCI Race License holders \n\n  \nAll Riders must sign:  \n\nOntario 2026 Waiver & Concussion Form (added to all CCN reg pages) \nQuebec 2026 Waiver \nOC & FQSC Agreement \n\n  \nThere will be NO on-site registration. All registrations must be made online. Please pick-up numbers on site and keep your race plate for each event.   \n   \nNEW for 2026: Since our series will be spanning across provincial borders\, we have been in talks with Ontario Cycling and the FQSC to find a solution for having our events sanctioned in both Ontario and Quebec. Thanks to their collaborative efforts\, the Twilight series is in its final stages of being sanctioned in both provinces and they have created a special allowance for cross-border licensing. This means that if you have a FQSC license\, you can race the Ontario stages on this license\, you will not need to purchase an additional Ontario Cycling license. The same goes for Ontario license holders\, your license will be valid for our Quebec location stages. This cross border license agreement only applies to the Trek Twilight Series p/b Bushtukah. The Ontario licenses are fully valid for any sanctioned event in Ontario. The FQSC licenses are fully through Canada as they are UCI licenses.  \n   \n Here are some common scenarios:  \nQuebec Resident  \n\nYou have a FQSC license = no need to purchase one with our series \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time = purchase a one day license from FQSC\, this option is not available at Wesley Clover location \n\n\nYou have no license and want to race in both provinces = purchase license from FQSC \n\n\nFQSC license costs\, one day $10 youth\, $15 adult\, full license $40 youth\, $60 adult. \n\n\nFQSC licenses are valid through all of Canada as they are UCI based licenses \n\nOntario Resident  \n\nYou have an OC Challenge\, Compete or UCI license = no need to purchase one with our series. \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time = purchase a one day license from FQSC if the event is in Quebec. \n\n\nYou have no license\, but want to race 1 time in Ontario = purchase OC challenge\, compete or UCI license. No one day option \n\n\nYou have no license and want to race in both provinces = purchase challenge\, compete or UCI license from OC. \n\n\nOC licence costs\, Challenge: 8 and under $46\, 8- 18 years youth $57\, adult $88\, UCI and more pricing options here: https://ontariocycling.org/membership/ \n\n\nOC UCI licenses are valid through all of Canada \n\n\nOC challenge or compete valid in Quebec only for Twilight Series \n\nIf you wish to race the Quebec Cup this summer and you have an OC challenge or compete license\, you will need to purchase the one day FQSC license option or upgrade to a UCI license for full coverage.  \n   \nPlease see below for FQSC license prices:  \n     \nFor this season\, we will require parents who chose to ride with their kids during the kids event have a license themselves\, even if they are not racing. This ensures that everyone is covered in the event of an accident. Please allow yourself time to pickup the chip before start time. Each rider will be awarded a number plate valid for the complete season. At registration\, the rider must present a valid license. If a rider does not have a number plate\, a fee of $5 will be charged for a new plate with the same number.  \nEvent Parking: \nWe ask that all participants follow parking signs\, and only park in the designated area. \nFacilities:  \nBakkers Trailblazers will be providing portable toilets if there are not any on site. We ask that participants use them\, and not the grounds. Failure to do so will result in 1 warning and expulsion of participants for a second offence. No refund will be offered. \nFirst Time Racers and Pre-ride: \nFor first time riders and for pre riding\, Bakkers Trailblazers strongly recommends that riders pre-ride the course before the first event. Pre-riding the course will help equip new riders with the right knowledge going into their first event.  \nInclement Weather Policy:  \nAll events will be held rain or shine. In the event of thunder and lightning\, starts will be delayed until extreme weather has passed. In the event where the weather is too threatening (includes natural disaster\, poor air quality)\, Bakkers Trailblazers will make a decision to cancel the event at least 2 hours prior to the first race start.  No refund will be issued.  \n  \n  \nEvent Information \nRegistration
