SUMMARY:Road - OCup #1 Henderson - Bradford\, ON
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Cup (OCup) Road Series has finally arrived and will kick into high gear starting April 21st. For the 2024 OCup Road Series\, Ontario Cycling will once again be partnering with Performance Driven Events for four OCups and Provincial Championships. \nThe first stop in the OCup series is Henderson. Located at Henderson Memorial Park\, just 25 minutes from Hwy 400/401\, this course features a 12km loop of smooth county and rural road with approximately 90 meters of elevation each lap. Racers will start and finish out of the newly built Henderson Memorial Park\, located just off line 9\, north/west of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Entry and exit to the parking area should be through 5th side road. \n\nRegistration for all OCups is open to riders 15 years of age and older.\nThe event is pre-registration only. Late entries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If granted\, will have an additional fee of 50.00$\nOut of Province riders must have a UCI license. Licenses will not be sold on the day of the event and must be purchased in advance.\nFor Ontario athletes only\, all riders must have completed at least 1 OCup in order to compete at the 2024 Provincial Championships.\nRegistration for each OCup will close the Wednesday before the event.\n\nCourse map and elevation: \n\nRegistration\n\n\nSeries Registration\n\n\nTech Guide

DESCRIPTION:Instructor: \nFred Zottl \nThe Course:\n \nThe skills and tactics course provides both “in-classroom” & “on-bike” learning opportunity to coaches working with newly competitive cyclists at the club level. These athletes are likely to be in the ‘Learn to Train’ or ‘Train to Train’ stages of ‘Long-Term Athlete Development.’ \nThis workshop focuses on teaching mountain bike cycling skills and knowledge to identify and correct errors in skills performance. Coaches will also understand how to analyze stages in the performance of mountain bike cycling skills and can explain activities and provide feedback\, in a way that is consistent with the guidelines set for the age group within the cycling LTAD model. Lastly\, coaches will learn how to prepare athletes for competition by assisting them to follow pre-race and post-race plans including preparation of equipment\, nutrition\, and tactical and mental preparation. \nOC Refund Policy: \nIf the course is cancelled by Ontario Cycling a 100% refund including CCN fees will be issued. \nIf a participant withdraws from the course more than 14 days before\, they are eligible for a full refund minus CCN fees. \nIf withdrawing between 7 and 14 days before a course\, they are eligible for a 50% refund minus CCN fees. \nThere will be no refunds if participants need to withdraw within 7 days of the course taking place. \n\nLocation: Durham Forest Main Lot\n \nPrice: \n$120.00 + HST \n\nRegistration
