DESCRIPTION:Fresh Air’s kids HopOn to ride\nLevel 2-3\n\n\n  \nKinsmen Park\, Trowbridge Rd\, Thunder Bay\, ON\, Canada\nSeptember 12\, 2022 – October 03\, 2022\n\n\nThis exciting learn to ride opportunity will show case the HopOn programming to your community over 4 exciting fun filled 90 minute sessions. \nProgram overview:  \nWHAT: A Level 2-3 HopOn program for all types of riders provided that they are comfortable. Riders should be able to turn quickley\, look behind while riding straight and roll off a sidewalk curb. Please check our Levels page to ensure that this program is suitable for your child. DESCRIPTION:Registration \nSeptember 26\, 28\, 30\, October 3 and 5 \nCOACHES\nNCCP COACHING COURSES\nThe National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is the Coaching Association of Canada’s flagship program\, and has been identified as a world leader in coach education. The NCCP gives coaches the confidence to succeed and is designed & delivered in partnership with the government of Canada\, provincial/territorial governments\, and national/provincial/territorial sport organizations. \nCycling has three NCCP coaching contexts\, depending on the level of coaching; Let’s Ride! Community Initiation; Ready to Race! Introduction to Competition and Performance Cycling\, Competition Development. \n \n\n\n\n1. Context: Let’s Ride! Community Initiation \nLet’s Ride! targets coaches who will primarily work with novice and pre-competitive cyclists at the community level\, including participants in the Active Start\, FUNdamentals and early Learn to Train stages of Athlete Development.\n*These courses are administered by your Cycling Provincial Association \n2. Context: Ready to Race! Introduction to Competition \nReady to Race! Introduction to Competition (R2R) is the context for coaches who will primarily work with new competitive cyclists at the community and club level. These athletes will likely be in the Learn to Train to Train to Train stages of LTAD\, although the context could apply to any new racer of any age.\n*The Ready to Race! Evaluations are administered by Cycling Canada \n3. Context: Performance Cycling Competition Development \nReady to Race! These athletes will likely be in the Learn to Train to Train to Train stages of LTAD\, although the context could apply to any new racer of any age. \nPerformance Cycling Coaching Courses: \nIn-Training: \n\nManage a Program\nPerformance Planning\nAnalyzing Performance\n\n*Administered by Cycling Canada\n\n\n\nTrained: \n\nManaging Conflict\nCoaching and Leading Effectively\nDeveloping Athletic Ability\nPrevention and Recovery\nPsychology and Performance\nLeading Drug Free Sport\n\n*These six multi-sport modules are administered by the Provincial/Territorial Associations\n*Completed online through CAC Locker account\n\n\n\nCertified: \n\nManaging Conflict Online Evaluation\nMake Ethical Decisions Evaluation\n\n*Completed Online through CAC Locker account\n\n\nMake Ethical Decisions Training\n\n*Administered by the Provincial/Territorial Associations\n\n\nLeading Drug Free Sport Online Evaluation\nPlan a Project\nManage a Program\nPortfolio\nTraining Camp Evaluation\nIn-Competition Evaluation\n\n*Administered by Cycling Canada\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT\nThe CAC and Cycling Canada recognize the value of having certified NCCP coaches that are engaged in Professional Development programs. Certified coaches must accumulate 20 points for Intro to Competition\, and 30 points for Competition Development status every five years in order to maintain their certification.
