SUMMARY:Team Ontario - Provincial Para-Cycling Training Camp
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling will be hosting a ParaCycling Training Camp on September 17-18 (rain dates September 24-25) in Milton ON. The 2-day camp will consist of: \n\nEndurance training rides\nTechnical skill session\nBike mechanics learning\nUnderstanding your training plan & periodization (classroom)\nNutrition for training & recovery (classroom)\nMental Performance (classroom)\nStrength & Conditioning (Gym session – Canadian Sport Institute Ontario)\nGroup meals\nOvernight hotel accommodations on Sat Sept 17th\n\nPlease complete the camp application. Applications are due Monday September 5th at 5pm. Selected athletes will be notified Friday Sept 9th. This camp will be fully funded by Ontario Cycling’s High Performance Program \nPROJECT OBJECTIVES \n\nProvide an intensive training and learning experience for HP paracyclists in Ontario\nEnhance technical skills in a low-stress and controlled environment\nCreate an opportunity for cyclists to apply their skills under fatigue in endurance training sessions\, with appropriate support and safety measures in place.\nLearn appropriate bike maintenance and troubleshooting\nLearn appropriate strength & conditioning\, nutrition\, and mental skills that will improve training and performance\nEngage ParaCyling coaches across the province to connect\, collaborate\, and work together\n\nSTAFF \nLead Coach – Murray Solem\nCoach – David Jack\nCycling Canada National Team Coach – Phil Abbott\nStrength & Conditioning/Sport Nutritionist – Kevin Iwasa-Madge\nMental Performance Consultant – Fiona Meikle \n*Apprentice coach roles are available for this camp – please contact Amber Hutchinson at amber.hutchinson@ontariocycling.org \n

SUMMARY:Team Ontario - Provincial Female MTB Development Camp
DESCRIPTION:Ontario Cycling will be hosting a Female Mountain Bike Development Camp on Sept 17-18\, 2022 (rain dates September 24-25) at Kelso Conservation in Milton\, Ontario. This 2-day development camp is a female-only initiative. Riders must be between the ages of 13-17 in 2022\, with race experience and the physical ability to complete long climbs. \nThe 2-day camp will consist of: \n\nTechnical skill sessions\nMental performance skills\nYoga for recovery\nGroup talks on training and performance related topics\nGroup meals\nOvernight hotel accommodations on Sat Sept 17th.\n\nPlease complete the camp application. Applications are due Monday September 5th at 5pm. Selected athletes will be notified Friday Sept 9th. This camp will have a subsidized participation fee of $100.
