Kevin Iwasa-Madge, Sport Nutritionist, Strength and Conditioning Coach [Canadian Sport Institute, Cycling Canada]

Kevin completed a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph, and a Master’s degree in Nutrition Communication at Ryerson University. While in Guelph, Kevin wrestled for the U of G varsity team. Following graduation, Kevin competed on the National Team for several years and highlighted his career with a 5th place finish at the FISU World Championships. Kevin has taught in the Kinesiology and Health Promotion program at Sheridan College for many years, teaching courses in the areas of food and nutrition, program design, fitness assessment, resistance training, and physical activity in special populations. Currently, Kevin is a Sport Nutritionist and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, working with Track Cycling and Wrestling at the national and provincial level.

Fiona Meikle, Mental Performance Consultant [Canadian Sport Institute, Cycling Canada]

Fiona has been providing mental performance support to athletes, performance artists, the military and businesses, for over ten years. After obtaining her Masters in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology, Fiona worked as a Sport Psychology Intern at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff for two and a half years. After a highly successful internship, Fiona was kept on as an external consultant and provided support to Team Wales athletes in the lead up to and during the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Fiona worked with Team Wales athletes for over seven years before moving to Canada in late 2017.

Fiona has worked with athletes of all ages and abilities, from over thirty different sports, and is a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association. Fiona currently works as a contractor for the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario working with individual athletes and teams at both the Olympic/Paralympic and Provincial levels.
