Racers headed to the virtual East Coast this week to take on the Breau Creek course located just outside of Monton, New Brunswick. The course featured a mix of flats, multiple shorter hills and some longer climbs. The final stretch of the race featured some steep pitches before a flat stretch heading into the finish.
Seven races in, there are four Ontario riders leading their respective categories: Dylan Baker in the U17 Women, Carson Mattern in the U17 Men, Skye Pellerin in the Junior Women and Dylan Bibic in the Junior Men.
The last race in the series is scheduled for Thursday, August 13th.
Organized by Saskatchewan Cycling and Cycling Canada, the series is also sponsored by Velo NB, Alberta Bicycle Association, Manitoba Cycling, 4iiii and the Ontario Cycling Association. Races are held on the RGT Cycling platform with courses created using real Canadian roads. Every other week a different region of Canada will be featured in a virtual race up to an hour and a half in length.
