The Ontario Cycling Association [OCA] would like to announce our Updated Preliminary event calendars for the 2021 Season. With a third wave hitting the province and a Stay-at-Home Order beginning early April with a proposed end date of June 2nd, the Ontario Cycling Association has been hard at work with race organizers to adapt to a reduced race season. These races will need to follow all potential guidelines and restrictions upon release from the Stay-at-Home Order.

Once all necessary paperwork has been submitted and approved, these events will appear on the official “Events Calendar” section of our website with registration links, technical information and promotional material to follow. These approved events will need to follow all government imposed guidelines and gathering restrictions in order to be sanctioned and remain on the Events Calendar. With physical distancing still being required, events currently on the preliminary calendar will be based on various individual start formats.

With a reduced calendar, the OCA Events team has made efforts to reduce overlap between events not only taking place within the same discipline, but also alternate disciplines allowing riders to experience a full race calendar. As our racing season has been cut short by two months this becomes more difficult, but we continue to do our best to ensure that participation opportunities remain high.

All dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of Government/Public Health Unit restrictions.  We have broken up our calendars into two groups Sanctioned and Proposed events.  Those events that are able to run meeting all COVID restrictions are released below:

Other Proposed Events – The events listed below are unable to adhere to government imposed gathering and spacing rules which were in place last summer, however if these rules change, these events may be able to run. The status of these events will largely depend on Gathering and Physical Distancing Rules put in place by the government and will be updated as more information is available.
